Join us in Albion for some Sweet Adventures, make the drive for a fun filled weekend.
The Albion Rail-Trail Festival will be held Friday night, June 6th, Saturday, June 7th.
We are located 15 minutes NW of Marshalltown, 45 minutes NE of Des Moines and 45 minutes East of Ames on Highway 330.
Friday evening events are held in the Albion City Park. Admire classic cars, trucks motorcycles, tractors of all years and makes during the Show and Shine; the crowning of royalty of Little Mr. and Miss Albion will be at 6:30. Stay and enjoy a family outdoor movie under the stars, we will be featuring the movie Goonies at dusk (approximately 9:30). Bring your lawn chairs to enjoy the show.
Start Saturday morning off with a pancake breakfast hosted by the Albion Fire Dept. pavement bicycle ride to Whitten and back. Watch the fire trucks and cars go by as candy gets tossed during the community parade at 10:00 AM. Head to the Kids Fun Zone to play carnival games, jump in the bounce house, challenge your friends in the obstacle course, and emerge yourself with interactive activities, create one-of-a-kind spin art. We will have our tradition of the handmade giant pinata at noon.
Stroll and shop the many vendors located in the Iowa River's Edge Market hosted by AB Events- there is something for everyone!
Grab a bite to eat from local food truck vendors: Clare's Tenderloin, Appleberry's Apple Wagon, Maria Tacos and Smokin Hog Pit-Stop BBQ.
Join us for the Street Dance from 8:00 - Midnight. Rock out with the high energy, seven-piece, party band, The Punching Panadas. The recently won the Battle of the Bands. They play everything from old school rock and roll, funk, blues, country, pop, rap and today's music!
A dusk view spectacular fireworks show Saturday at the baseball field (sitting on the south diamond).
